OUR SCOUT PRAYER As an important part of being a Scout is the belief in
God. We have adopted the Psalm of David as our Scout Prayer. We feel it is
particularly relevant to Scouts. We close our Scout meets with it.
Psalm 23~A Psalm of David
Scout Leader :
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want for anything.
Patrol Leader 1 :
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness.
Patrol Leader 2 :
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I shall fear no evil, for He is with me; His rod and staff, they comfort me.
Patrol Leader 3 :
He prepares a table for me in the presence of my enemies.
He anoints my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Patrol Leader 4 :
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
